Come and join us for our Christmas themed Kids Book Swap this afternoon. We will be celebrating with our Christmas title, Lily's Wish.

Mr Darcy will be attending the Kids Book Swap this month

Kids Book Swap is hosting Alex Field, the author of Austen inspired Mr Darcy, at 3.30pm on Friday 28th October at Forestville Library.

Do come along for a sneak peek into the world of Pride and Prejudice before Mr Darcy is officially released on the 1st November.

Kids Book Swap is on tomorrow - Meet fabulous illustrator Serena Geddes

The last Friday of the month is tomorrow and we have our book swapping shoes on.
The talented illustrator Serena Geddes will be our guest tomorrow afternoon.
Serena began her career as an animator for Disney, but in 2009 she followed her dream, determined to become a children's book illustrator.
Since then she has illustrated  this:

I am sure you will agree that Serena is a fabulous illustrator.
She is currently working on Lily's Wish, a delightful book for Christmas.

Kids Book Swap is back on for 2011.

Come along and join us for the first Kids Book Swap of the year.

Bring a book to swap and enjoy afternoon tea in the company of Peter Whitfield, author of the Zen Tails Series.

Kids Book Swap is this Friday

The last Friday of the month is coming up and we are baking cakes.

Come along to the Kids Book Swap this week featuring Totally Twins author Aleesah Darlison and illustrator Serena Geddes.

They will be giving out free "Perse Rocks" badges so dont miss out.

Aleesah and Serena will be talking about their cool new series. You can ask questions, eat cake and watch Serena weave her illustration magic.

A special Kids Book Swap for Children's Book Week

Next week is Children's Book Week.Yay!

We are encouraging all the kids to come to Kids Book Swap dressed as their favourite children's book character. We hope parents might join in the fun too. We will be!

We are thinking a bumblebee, a sugar plum fairy, a super sorcerer, a teddy bear or a dragon. We are still deciding. Take your pick and we will see you there. 

Jo Oliver will be reading her two picture books, Pilgrim and Tatiara, answering questions and giving a few inside tips to budding illustrators.

There will, of course, also be cake.

The kids chose some interesting characters for Serena to draw:

Part elephant, part dinosaur. The kids named him -Delephant!

The next Kids Book Swap is on Friday the 27th August. Guest Author/Illustrator will be Jo Oliver.

To help us celebrate Book Week come along dressed up as your favourite book character.

We will bring the cake!

Kids Book Swap is on tomorrow

The next Kids Book Swap is happening tomorrow at Forestville Library.

Peter Whitfield will be reading his popular Zen Tails series and Serena Geddes will be sharing her latest picture books while showing off her flair as an illustrator. Serena will be drawing some of her favourite characters from Row, row, row your boat and Samuel's Kisses.

Sophia is baking cakes. Last month we baked 70 cupcakes which were all quickly consumed by ravenous school kids. Tomorrow we will have 100 beautifully decorated little cupcakes.

So come along, bring a book to swap and join us for a party to celebrate the end of the week.
